startled morning
Eating breakfast this morning, (which, let's be honest, was at 10 AM...I don't have a job!) I'm enjoying the beautiful snow, reading the paper, glad to be inside, not out where it's -5 and I turn around to look at the birds out the back window. Instead of birds, I see a giant guy, with dreads and an orange safety vest. So naturally, being startled, I screamed. My screaming, sent the dog into a fit of barking. The guy looked up and waved, laughing as he did so. Good morning meter-reading man. I obviously wasn't expecting you today.
