Thanksgiving Time!
I really like Thanksgiving....but really, who doesn't (unless you're Chandler Bing)? It's a day of eating non-stop and then football...either watching or playing or a little of both. It's supposed to be fairly warm this mid-week in Iowa so hopefully that means we can be outside some. Jake (who is now almost 2 and 1/2) loves to play catch so it should be good times. I figure my day will go as such: watch the parade (I always do), help get food ready, and sit quietly at the corner of the table eating my turkey and dumplings while everyone else talks. Sometimes this backfires when my relatives start asking me a multitude of questions like, "so what are you doing with your life, are you seeing anyone, etc..?" and I wish to go back to the moment when I was just sitting quietly in the corner. However I am very thankful for my ever inquiring family and the fantastic friends that are in my life (although scattered throughout the nation like candy from a pinata) and that's what Thanksgiving is all about. Hope that you have a good one...safe travels to all!

Scattered like candy from a pinata. I love that expression. I'll be using it from now on.
