So I finally got a job. A real job. A job that won't end in 3 months and offers health benefits. I'm going to try and live in the real world again for awhile. It's at a hospital down by the Plaza...so I'll be moving close to there in about a month. That's another pain...finding an apartment/place to live. I honestly do not like looking...I don't think it's fun and I don't really get excited...because in the end I know I will have to move there and that is an event all in itself. It happens when my parents decide to help me...which I apperciate...because really...I don't know many people in KC with a truck and strong lifting muscles. So basically...my parents move me. My mom gets frantic about cleaning and redecorating the place as soon as we arrive and than my dad gets mad at my mom and the fact that he has to lift heavy things. This ends with lots of yelling and then the silent treatment coming from both sides. It's amazing that my parents are still together after moving their 3 children probably 20ish times (I've contributed to at least 8 of those). My goal this month...meet someone with a truck and strong lifting muscles...where are all of my bellman when I need them?!
Other random news: I got my haircut the other day and I love my hairdresser! She made me feel better about the whole real job/moving thing and had some good advice about going back to school (she is currently getting her bachelors in education). I love it when you go somewhere for one thing but end up with some therapy. As far as my hair goes...too short...but it will grow back...eventually.
Winter has arrived in Kansas City...the meteorologists here are calling for 3 -7 inches of snow. You know for sure that I'm not going anywhere...it's nice that I don't have to. Is March here yet...I'm done with winter!
If you are not watching The Office by now...you should...it's so funny...and you can see my boyfriend, John Krasinski. You have no excuse...how else are you going to spend a cold, wintry Thursday night?

Fabulous news, Katie! Congrats. One of my co-workers went to high school with John K. She says he's always been sweet.
