Clothing Swaps and Fashion Shows

Introducing: Mariposa Laura, Safety First Kari, Brenna, Peace Corps Volunteer Kristen, Katie and Molly!
Sometimes I get frustrated, annoyed, upset about anything that has to do with my job (seriously, is this really happening!), my living situation, my co-workers, etc. We all do. But it's quickly remembered that I live in a beautiful place, with an amazing community, and get to do things that I once dreamed of while working in the hospital (I really get paid to do this?!). Then, my day quickly turns around. These feelings cycle quite often, but all in all, I'm so glad to be where I am, and no where else.

This was confirmed by last night's Lady Clothing Swap. It seemed very similar to a Lost and Found Fashion Show, but the ridiculous pieces were limited to a pair of Umbros (yes, Umbros!) from Junior High, a fuzzy scarf, a skating helmet, and an ornate Japanese vest (it was acquired as a gift from delegates), a mesh jersey, and a purple tube top. Everything else was pretty okay, because we bought these things fairly recently, like 5 years ago or less?

Lost and Found Fashion Shows were items from 6th and 7th graders that were found at our youth conferences. The difference between this, and Lady's Clothing Swap is that we had male models, and clothing items were usually much, much smaller. If you're confused, or need some reference, check it out here (digging deep into the archives for this one)!

And thanks for reading! Sometimes I'm not sure if anyone is out there, and it's okay, (because this is mostly for my entertainment) but I appreciate your encouragement (thanks, Sarah!)! I find that writing fun/ridiculous/weird things here, helps me to be more focused for writing for work.

Dude, we all have those moments of frustration/annoyance/etc about our jobs. For me, it's processing stool samples. I mean, I went to graduate school to literally deal with shit? Yeah. But then I remember what I COULD be doing with my life (aka high school teaching) and I am suddenly very happy with my current situation. :)
