updates in picture style (and wondering if this is boring you?)

Like whoa. So nice up here right now. This is actually still a picture similar to the one from last week in Rock Creek. What an awesome day.

This is how I know that very, very soon I won't be able to go camping anymore. IT'S FREEZING AND I HAVE PROOF. Yep, those are our swimsuits frozen solid. Good thing I stayed warm at night with a - 15 degree bag PLUS a - 7 degree bag on top of that (and wearing my puffy coat, hat and gloves). It's getting cold out there at night, kids. Real cold.

Our Palm Springs getaway resort (in which I ran a little race...NBD). Believe me, we celebrated with many a cocktails afterwards. And Palm Springs is pretty beautiful, and good golf there to boot (not that I care, but M does!) Palm trees, and mountains and desert...it was a nice weekend getaway AND I got to check something off my goal list (that would be, running a race, in case you missed it from my prior blog entry from oh, 5 years ago?).

And last but not least. Big, huge, important, exciting news. This is my first ever house plant. It's called California Sunset, or Graptosedum. I've had it for a month and a half now and I HAVE NOT KILLED IT. It's kinda incredible. Does that mean that I'm finally ready for a dog?!
