Oh hey.  And if you were here and I actually said it to you, it would sound much different than the way you're reading it based on tone and inflection.  Let's facetime...yes?  Just kidding.  You all know I don't have a fancy phone that I can program to make my coffee in the morning.  Some things just take awhile to change.  My leap into technology is one of those things.  It's more like a slow jog to get to the leap and the leap is mere centimeters off the ground.  This metaphor is not working for me, is it.  Ah, on to other things then.

It's super birthday celebration time in my life.  Ridiculous amounts of very dear friends, and my brother (of whom is included in the dear friends category) were born at the end of this lovely month, and so we must celebrate.  Some of them took off to Utah.  Some of them drank a little too much the day before so recovery was in order on their actual birthday.  Some live in Missouri.  Some have kiddos and can't make it up to party down.  Regardless of these things, know that I wish you a very happy birthday and that we will celebrate in some kind of way (if we haven't already) very soon.

In a totally unrelated topic, Joy the Baker is blowing my mind.  If you need dinner inspiration, go to her!  For the past couple weeks, the recipes she posts are recipes that I have all the ingredients for.  It's like she looked in our fridge and said, "You could totally whip this up right this very second!"  Hooray!  It is amazing.  For example, I just bought a ton of spinach.  What am I going to do with it all?  Oh yeah, Joy the Baker.  Much love to your genius-ness.

This blog post is brought to you by one too many cocktails from a Mad Men premiere party.  I have never watched Mad Men, but I do know that Jon Hamm went to school at Mizzou.  That was the one fact that I brought up (over and over) since I knew nothing else.  So tonight, I'll probably dream of mojitos, men in suits, and ads for canned beans?  I guess there could be worse things to dream about.
