back?

I'm here, in California. I am in love, but not in love with the place. Mostly in love with the fact that I have a cush job (don't get me wrong...at times it can be exhausting but for the most part, it's easy-livin'!) I walk to work, my rent is $220 TOTAL, I share my work-space with some pretty amazing people and during my free time I go climb mountains and float down a river in a national park. So after saying all of this, I like it here...but not as much as the Tetons, definitely not as much as Glacier. What the hell is wrong with me? I was trying to explain this to one of my co-workers when we were trying to come up for good ideas for my tram tour (yes, I finally get to do some interp things!) and when he asked me what I thought about Yosemite I replied, "I like the place, I'm not in love with it though." So how can I make others feel connected to the park when I, myself am having trouble. The only answer I have is to keep exploring. There's got to be something here to make me long for Yosemite when I leave. I just have to find it.

Maybe it'll just grow on you the longer you are there. I like Oklahoma more everyday. :) Don't fret - just take each day & each adventure as it comes!

It may not be there. But that doesn't mean going there was the wrong thing to do. If you don't "find" it...I bet you'll at least see why you were supposed to go there.
