This entry would have been great for yesterday...alas...it's today...but we can pretend...right?
So I have a personal story about 666. I have not seen "The Omen" (as I do not like to watch scary movies...it stresses me out) but I do know that in Hollywood world the number 666 stands for the mark of the devil.
Back in the day when I ran cross country, we were at a meet where when your coach registered you for the race, you then received a number and would wear this number throughout the race. This was fairly unusual to get numbers for a race at a high school cross country meet...I guess it was easier to record results, harder to cheat? Anyhow, I had broken my foot about a week before that meet so I couldn't run but I was still there to cheer my teammates on. Since my coach had already registered me, I had a number assigned. He handed the number to me and said "maybe we know now why you broke your foot." Yes, the number was 666. Maybe I am the child of Satan, or this particular race for me was doomed from the start.
Do I really believe in the 666 hype...no...am I kind of a numbers freak with superstition and all...yes. I like numbers that are even or ending in a 5 or a 0 and if I have a chance to pick whether to fly on a even numbered day or an odd numbered day...I always go for the even. Same for big tests...I took my nursing boards on 7/22/03...it proved to be good luck...I passed!
So yeah, I'm a little eccentric in that sense...

Here's a shout out from your fellow even-# loving numbers freak. Ajay was born on 2-4-6...gotta love it!
Here's a funny story about Katie and scary movies. Back during our Glacier heyday her and I traveled up to Lethbridge, Alberta. While there I conned her into seeing The Exorcism of Emily Rose with me. Quite possibly one of the funniest experiences of my life. For some reason I love to see other people get scared. Katie did not disappoint. It was a priceless afternoon that I'll never forget. Thanks Katie.
You're welcome, Lincoln...I do what I can to be of some entertainment value
If only I had seen previews...I would have never gone to see that movie...I didn't realize it would be so scary!
