Usually I have been refraining from going to movies because nowadays a movie costs more than the sandwich/soup combo at Panera...I am still unemployed...and this is just too pathetic to continue my reasoning. However I broke down this weekend and decided to see "The Break-Up" because:
1) Vince Vaughn is in it
2) does there really need to be other reasoning than point number 1?
My only complaint is that Jennifer Aniston is way too tan in the movie...it wasn't believable...no white girl is THAT dark in Chicago! and I missed the fairy-tale like ending that I have come to expect in movies...but otherwise good!
Also this weekend...my parent's surprise 30th wedding anniversary party! I don't have to keep a secret or keep lying to my parents...well...about this particular event anyway. It was really fun...they thought that they were coming over to babysit their grandchildren but really...we had 30 of their closest friends and family in the next room. The look on my dad's face was priceless as was my mom's reaction that included the classic "lean and slide down the wall while in shock" maneuver. My brother and sister-in-law did an amazing job of planning/organizing/getting everything together...fun times for all!
