Vacation - Missouri Style

I would usually not pick to go to Missouri in the summer. The humidity hovers in the 70-90 percentile. In CA, it gets hot, but we're in the teens when it comes to the sticky wetness in the air. I'm not used to it, so I wanted to die. But truth be told, it could have been much hotter, so I tried to think about it being tropical weather and enjoyed the green-ness that MO has to offer.

We did SO MANY THINGS. I need a vacation from my vacation. A little run down:

St Louis: The Arch, junior ranger badges, Imo's pizza (a cracker with cheese on top of it!), toasted ravioli, City Museum (so much climbing...so much!), and swimming.

Columbia: Shakespeare's Pizza, a trip to the Columns, and a stop at Lakota Coffee and Shakey's for ice cream, also a parking ticket. Oops.

Kansas City: Firecrackers, enjoying my parent's newly built fire pit patio, more swimming and waterslides, Jack Stack BBQ and roller skating (I'm not as good as my 6th grade self was at this!).

Good times, and little dude keeps telling me that he's going to move to Missouri when he grows up. I think that means that he had a great time! So that's it! Summer vacation is over?! I was lucky that I got one since work is so nutso during the summer months, but we have lots of upcoming trips for the fall. And I hopefully get a couple weeks in the Grand Canyon for work. w00t! So fall vacation will be here before I know it!

Also, thank for all the birthday wishes! I had a great time celebrating in Mammoth and shooting some guns (with highly trained professionals to boot!).
