Summer is completely flying by, which I think is okay with me this year. It's just been so hot. And when it's hot, I get cranky (like most everyone). I actually read that there were more crimes committed when the weather was hot vs the colder months. I can see the truth in that. Although no crimes being committed here, I will welcome the fall gladly!

I got a chance to escape the heat by heading north on vacation. It started in Sacramento, then we headed up to PDX to hang out with my favorites, up to Canada (the awesome part - Alberta) to see Banff and Waterton, down to Glacier, then Yellowstone, then the Tetons. I was so lucky to get to do this with a pretty awesome guy who puts up with me somehow! There was so much paddling, hiking, boating, and swimming (and a concert in there too) and was so perfect.

We've got a few more camping trips to Tahoe and the east side, and then I imagine the road will close! So this is the last of it, eh Summer? Thanks for being good to me!
