Sequoias might be my favorite tree, but even more so in the winter. They have this beautiful red-ish, brown-ish bark that in contrast to the snow is just so very nice. I'm really lucky to have someone to motivate me to get out there in the snow, because, like always, I still pretty much dislike all of winter. And more storms on the way! Uh...woo-hooo?!
Then, we fought the masses (yes masses) to see Horsetail Fall light up by a terrific phenomenon in which the sun hits the fall just right, and makes it seem to glow a beautiful golden color. Like it's on fire. However, it is NOT Firefall, the Firefall, or anything to do with fire. Please stop calling it that (just some frustration from work spilling over...annnnd end rant!).

| So if you have worked at this place for 3 years, then it's about time that you see the original Wawona Tunnel Tree which has fallen, obviously). Pretty amazing. |
