your ears will say thanks

This is not so new, but I rediscovered it the other day. And it's so, so good. I really dig NPR's Tiny Desk Concert Series (well, who doesn't love NPR!), and I pretty much adore Beirut. All good things, coming together. You can't go wrong.

Oh, and the new year. I hope it's happy for you. Our celebration was low key, and it was the best. I'm glad that I've finally figured out that a big, drunken party is not the key to a successful new year (for myself at least). I used to start the new year pretty disappointed by the previous night's events, but I'm happy to report that it's no longer the case!

It's the same way here, New Year's is typically just a build up to a big let down.
This year Isaac went up Mt St Helen's for an overnight trip with some co-workers and I snuggled into my warm blankets and watched a movie!
Also, my ears are saying thanks right now! :D
