chai + pancake...not as weird as it seems

An epic dinner failure last night was made up for by a delicious champagne brunch today.  I have to say, chai spiced buttermilk pancakes are indeed what Joy the Baker likes to say "bonkers good."  Yes.  That good.  Plus, I'm pretty good a making pancakes and other things of breakfast variety.  The bottle of champagne, in which each if us were only going to have 1 or 2 glasses, got emptied pretty quickly.  This might be the reason the pancakes were so amazing.  I'm not entirely sure.

The dinner thing was upsetting for lots of reasons, mostly because there was a large quantity of it, and I just had to throw it out.  It was that bad.  You know it's bad because I will eat most anything.  This was not salvageable, even for those with few taste buds.  But today, I will revel in the success and good times of a quite amazing, sunny, Sunday brunch.  And that is that.
