The running continues, and it's not necessarily easier, but I have no excuses now. The weather is unseasonably sunny and warm, and all the Jewish grandmothers encourage me as I pass by them on the sidewalk (you know, saying things like, "good for you!" and "keep going, that's just great!"). They're super cute! So yeah, the neighborhood is quite fantastic. Not super hipster Portland, but rather the everything Jewish part of Portland (there is a store called "Everything Jewish") and it's nice and more my small neighborhood style. Everyone says hello, and people step off the sidewalk so I can run through. Also, I never have to worry about getting hit by a car. Oregon drivers are soooo much more considerate than Californians. It's true!
In other news, I finally (FINALLY) got my ukulele. It's super pretty, and that's about all I know about it right now (I just got it, like a couple of hours ago). More musical musings to come. Goals are getting accomplished! Yeeehhhhhaaaaaaww!
