The day...

...Obama became president was a good one. Seeing as Jolene and I still don't have jobs, we got to see all the festivities. Pretty much a freakin' big deal. I was thinking of all of my co-workers currently working a youth conference (I guess they had 15,000 scholars total...whoa) and my other friends that live in/around the DC area. Part of me is really sad that I had an opportunity to go and didn't take it. Another part of me is glad to have missed all the craziness and watch it all unfold while being very comfortable on my couch. Either way, we celebrated by making an inaugural cake...looks pretty good...I can't take any credit as Jolene decorated it...but I am doing my part in eating a lot of it! So...good times...and it's fun to think 4 years ago I was in New Zealand for the inauguration...and didn't have a tv...so I missed it!
