arrival day

The portable copier machine was broken so this was bad news for me...all the parents came into my office to make copies of insurance cards and asked me a bunch of questions. This made for a not so happy Katie as on arrival days I am doing 200 other things (yes 200). My favorite conversation:

Mom: Now you'll make sure my little baby gets home okay. Right?

Me: Yeah, we do this every week with a lot of scholars

What I wanted to say (remember it's week 8 of doing this): Um...no. We don't care about your kid at all. We just pull up at the airport doors, let them out, and say good luck. Their safety is not our concern. Really, are you really going to ask me that question?

I'm ready for my break now! Please let the cynicism end!

haha... like we're really going to lose a kid with as much as they're paying to send the kid to junior. jeez. parents are dumb.

it's good that you're getting all this exposure to dumb parents... that just means your chances of being a smart parent just increased. :)
