When I am working the conference my life goes like this...work 16 hours a day, for 6 days, have one day off, repeat. I like it...because when you don't want to think about your life, you don't have to...you don't get to...there is no time to analyze, overthink, obsess over anything...you merely work. So you want to make your 1 day off really awesome...cause you only get one day. So I convinced my roommate to go hiking...yes...hiking...in the surrounding areas of DC. We went to Great Falls State Park on a beautiful fall day and had a fantastic day off. It's no Montana, it's no Wyoming...but it's beautiful nonetheless. And where else could you make up a haiku about Paw Paws? (it's a type of tree...we think).
A small reminder not to plummet into the the falls to your death, "If You Fall In You Will Die"

i love great falls! we almost went down there yesterday. i guess you getting out and um... "kayaking" makes up for you not being around when i called

i wasn't really into great falls when i visited. :( though the rapids do look fun. ah, if only i had a kayak... and it was back when i actually kayaked.
