the night the lights went out....

I'm sitting in Jackson Lake Lodge right now enjoying the free wi-fi and the cozy atmosphere on this rainy day and thanking the heavens above that I don't have kids. It seriously must take more patience than I could ever have... It's funny because sitting here I see all the families with the screaming, crying, whining kids and I think...a week of this...trapped together....how does anyone survive? Not quite sure how my parents....or any parents do it for that matter.

Anyhow...we're getting some much needed rain in the Tetons and it's a nice change from the hotness of the summer. Due to the storms...we had out power go out last night at work. No power = no pizza so we shut the place down at about 8:00 and had a family picnic. We tried to use as few dishes and silverware as we could so we wouldn't have to wash anything...and we grilled steak...so it was a bit...uh...barbaric to say the least. Blogger won't let me post pictures but...let me tell you...I have some good ones. We then just chilled on the dock and watched a beautiful sunset...nice! I love my job!
