good birthday!

I am so blessed to have the best friends and family EVER...really...seriously...I mean that! I had a really good birthday and got to see all of my family (except for my dad, who for the past 10 years or so is always fishing in Canada on my birthday) and eat some amazing Italian food, and keep it low key with my mom and sister (I celebrated with friends a couple days earlier). So yay...26 is going to be good. Oh...and I have a date on Tuesday with John Mayer and Ben Folds! So, so excited...I've never really been to a big concert before...and I love these 2 guys...what a great birthday present!

I worked on the yard today because my mom has been bust re-doing my dad's bathroom while he is gone. It's pretty much protocol that when my dad leaves for his annual fishing trip, my mom has a redecorating project that she does that my dad would say no to if he were there. But since he's not...she gets it done before he gets back...and then he's okay with it. Anyway...the yard needed some help...and there's nothing quite as satisfying as ripping weeds out of the ground and giving hedges "haircuts". I think I may have found a new calling in life...now if only I could identify poison ivy a little better...

A BIG thank you to those who e-mailed, facebooked, myspaced or called me to wish me a happy birthday...I was SO happy all day because of that...you rock!

I did call you right? I think I did.
On a side note...both my parents always went on vacation for my birthday...even when I lived at home. If only I was a wild kid...I could have had parties.

I'm so glad you had an awesome party! You should come to DC for my birthday party. It'll be mid july-ish depending when I'm on call. DO IT!
