what a weekend!

Julie and Gordon came form DC to visit me this weekend and I tried to show them all of what Kansas City had to offer...which included the Nelsons-Atkins Art Museum, the Liberty Memorial, driving around downtown, The Great American BBQ Festival, and walking around the Plaza on a Friday night (this was easy since I live there). We also went to STL where I met up with some old college friends and watched a Cards game. Well, those that were interested watched the game, I caught up with everyone by chatting the whole time! It rained...a lot...but we were underneath the overhang and probably the only people who didn't get soaked. The next day...we went up in the Arch. Fun times in STL! It's funny because I'm not used to doing so many social things (I don't have a life, remember?) so I was pretty exhausted by the time Julie and Gordon left. So what if I usually go to bed at 10:30...I AM almost 26! But I had such a fun time...and all of my begging would not convince them to stay in KC forever...but there will be more adventures of Julie and Katie (and Gordon) for sure! Thanks for coming this weekend!

Other exciting news: I paid my rent for the last time at my apartment...the end is coming near...a little over a month...yay!

I love the movie Catch and Release...it really makes me want to move to Boulder and buy a bike and hook up with a fly-fisherman...sounds like a good plan to me!

My ipod sucks...now it only has the battery life of 4 hours? What happened to them bragging about having a 14 hour charge?! It's not true.

and now...some pictures: or not...can't post them for some reason...stay tuned...
