not so much March Madness

I used to love March Madness...and I think I still do, it's just this year...there are too many things going on...and I don't care. I didn't even fill out a bracket! Now that's a first. I guess maybe it's because Mizzou didn't even make it (and didn't get an invitation to the NIT) and Duke just plain sucks this year (yes I know they lost that game...no I didn't actually watch it). So I want to get excited about it...maybe when it's narrowed down to the Sweet 16. It was a lot more exciting to be in college and actually get to go to the games and than afterwards get to hang out with the players. Now I can't even name one of our Mizzou players. Sad, I know.

I'm cat-sitting this week for Joes. I don't know much about cats but it's been about 5 hours and I can't coax him out from underneath the bed. I even tried using his treats...I guess he'll come out when he is ready, or hungry, or hopefully when he needs to use the litterbox (please!). But I'm excited to have a pseudo-pet this week!

My immune system will be put to the test! I went to my parents and the kids, their mom, my mom and dad are all sick...and I spent time with all of them. So far I have escaped the super-powerful sick-kid-germs but we will see how do this time around.

I was reminiscing about St Patty's Day last year. I was in DC...I woke up at 5 and waited in line for 4 hours in the cold with my co-workers to try and get into a free concert. I miss my friends....but I'm kind-of glad to keep it low profile on St Patrick's Day this year. People go crazy...and it's just not my scene. However you spent your day though....I hope it was a good one!
