I'm back! From DC that is. I had a really good time in the city with my friends...and I saw things that I had not seen before...which is getting a little harder to do since I've been to DC quite a bit over the last year. We went to the Kennedy Center for a concert (it's really pretty!) and to the Building Museum where we took a tour. Did you know that it was originally built for giving civil war soldiers their pension? I didn't either! Also, they had a cool exhibit about building a green house. Not one that holds plants but rather one that is built to save energy and resources. Really neat to see...I now want coconut floors installed in my next house! Thanks to Julie and Jen for all of their hospitality and fun times!

I got the best Valentine card from my nephew yesterday along with some cookies he decorated. I have changed my stance on this holiday and now I like it. Chocolate, cards and the color red...it really is all good! So I hope you have a good Valentine's day as well.

I'm staying at my parents house for a couple of days because 1) I'm snowed-in 2) my dog is here 3) they have internet access 4) it's a whole lot better being snowed-in with my parents than snowed-in in my apartment by myself 5) my mom cooks for me
So I'm getting some much needed rest...it's nice.
