The Science Center

So...I just finished my first week of being a faculty advisor...and I have to start all over again tomorrow with a new group of kids...I'm hoping they'll be a little more calm than the previous kids...they were double OC (out of control). I think that this was partly my fault...I'm not very strict with the whole punishment thing...I just want them to have some fun...so note to self...try something different this week.

I have to say that I don't miss the Maryland Science Center much...although we get to watch Shackleton (the best IMAX movie ever!) play Cranium and let the kids do whatever they want...this is all negated by the way in which they wake you up in the morning...

"Good morning young leaders..." over the loud speaker and the lights come on. The worst part is that they play the Footloose soundtrack over the PA system...for an hour. I remember the days when I used to enjoy singing along to "Let's Hear it for the Boy." Now I just cringe and try to burrow a little deeper into my sleeping bag...only 4 more times to go...
